Hello all. I'm thinking of grabbing a used Avenger Seawolf in titanium, but have never handled one. Can anyone offer any input? Also, the Tutima DI300 is a nice titanium diver at much lower price, but is the Breitling That much better??

The old titanium Seawolf is a good watch, as long as you (obviously) don't mind the lightness of titanium. I don't own one but I've tried one on a few times, and it wears very high on the wrist as it's a thick watch. It's not really one to slip under a dress shirt sleeve that easily. The older style dial on that model looks slightly more "tool" than the later dial on the steel version, so in that regard it suits the titanium case just fine. It runs the venerable B17 which is based on the equally venerable ETA 2824, so reliability isn't an issue.

Until the CX 12000ft came along (swiftly followed soon after by the Rolex Deepsea) the Seawolf was the record holder for WR in a commercially available production watch, so usability in all situations is never going to be a problem either.

Basically it's a very good tool watch provided that a) as said above, you don't mind ti as a material, and b) you don't mind the fact that it's not the easiest to wear under a long sleeved shirt.

I can't really speak for the Tutima DI 300, but there's no doubt in my mind that the Breitling will be the better watch. The Tutima just won't have the same build quality, which is in part indicated by the fact that it's WR rating is a 1/10th of the Seawolf's.

dont know the tutima but here are a couple of picturs of my titanium seawolf.it is not a dressy watch obviously but it is a great casual watch and wears very comfotably. even though titanium there is still a fair weight to it but a lot less than my steel avenger code yellow which is the same size but 1.5 times the weight.

I wear my Chrono M1 daily, I prefer the subdued look of the brushed Ti. The yellow dial is eye catching enough, so if it were a polished stainless, it would be a bit too much bling for my work. I work with my hands, so I rarely wear long sleeve shirts. It is a tight fit under my Dainese leather motorcycle jacket.
I was looking at either a Ti Seawolf or a GP Sea Hawk II before I bought my Avenger Code Yellow.

I have owned both and the only one left in my collection is the Tutima DI 300.

The Seawolf is a nice watch, but quite frankly, it's a money pit.

The crown strips out very easily and costs a fortune to repair..and it will strip out again once you get it fixed...

I'm starting to see more comments about these crowns stripping out on the SW as these watches get older.

Get the Tutima. It's a great watch. Then get the Seawolf in SS, that's better than the TI version..
