Post subject:  Breitling cleaning examples???

I was wondering if anyone has photos of a 'before' and 'after' of a watch that has been professionally cleaned. Just wondering if it does make a difference or is an unjustified expense.

Thanks in advance for any photos that can be provided

Cleaned or re-finished? I can't think of a compelling reason to have a "professional cleaning."

Polishing, however, can make a scratched up polished watch look brand new. likewise a brushed finish can be quickly restored by any shop with a few basic tools.

There are several threads about cleaning, polishing, re-brushing here if you use the search function.

If you mean refinished, I just had a Rolex 16613 come back from the Rolex service center today...let me find the before pics and I'll show you how much magic they can work for $1,300.

Archie posted a video of a pretty nice polishing job, I'm sure its in one of his videos, not sure if the reward is worth the hassle.

Don't have a picture, but I had my Chronomat GT fully serviced by Breitling, which included a clean and polish. The cost was £250 (a lot of you are from the gold ol' US of A so that is around $400).

The result was, well, like getting a brand new watch; the watch was completely polished and cleaned to look bascially as new. It was expensive, but couldn't fault the result; considering it was done at Breitling itself the result was probably as good as it gets. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the correction, I should have referred to the issue as 'polishing' as opposed to cleaning.

As I use my B01 for every day use, I was/am somewhat sceptical that a polish could acheive 'just like new look'.
I will take the recommendations and search the forum for examples of polishing carried out on watches.

Thanks once again for the replies

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Roff! Set him straight!

I am definitely not Archie, I complain that he curses too much. Also, I don't have an Australian accent, and I'm not balding (and also, I posted a pic of myself, have a webcam too lol).
