We have just received the brand new Breitling catalogue, Chronolog 2012, in the shop.

As always this is very professionally presented.

All of the new models are introduced so if you haven't managed to see the press material on this year's new releases here is your chance.

Pick one up at your local AD.

Wish I could but they're no longer an AD. :( Guess I'll have to wait until I get into town.

Btw Rick, it is back to being called a Chronolog?

It is indeed Mr Shark.

I'm sure you'll be delighted to know that the spine says "Chronolog 2012".

Finally!

I guess they were waiting to include the Colt. Nice to see a return to the Chronolog name as well instead of the silly 'Pure Breitling' of last year. Now if only there was more content that appealed to me......

Great news! I always love the Chronolog, even if I don't always love the models these days. Great to see the name go back to Chronolog as well. Last year's "odd one out" will mess up the flow of the spines on the shelf  , but it's good to have a more sensible name back.

Now, if only they'd apply the same principle of reverting back to what they did before with the watch designs too.............

Good to see something finally out though!

Thanks for the offer but no need to go to any trouble. Just means it's a tram ride into town instead of 5 minutes on the bike. I'll pop in to Manchester next week and pick one up.

Amen to that, brother. These days, I get more of a thrill doing a Breitling search on Chrono24 than I do visiting Breitling's own website.

I once bought a book with a beautiful guilded leather binding. I bought it based on that amazing binding and cover - tooled leather and real gold guilding. I even blew dust off the cover. Magical!

I had no idea what the story inside was, but was certain I would be transfixed for days. Surely any book this glorious on the outside contained countless treasure inside.

After reading about 20 pages of pure rambling jibberish, I put the book away. I have no idea where it is today. Nor do I care.

THE END

I stopped by my local AD, although I have never been a regular or purchased there due to no discounts being offered, and asked for a copy. Of course they didnt have one and sent me home with a Runway.

Their selection was weak as could be. A couple Navi's and Navi Worlds. They didnt have a new 01 in either model. The did have a handful of galactic and B01 models as well as several older rider tab models (SOC, SuperOcean, Steelfish, Evolution). They did not have a single new model which was quite disappointing, and they made it sound like they were not ordering inventory till Christmas. :|

These books should be available on Breitling's website as a PDF-file.

Tried at least 5 ADs. None had the new Chronolog. Yet.

It seems that the new way to proceed this year is for the ADs to order the number of Chronologs they need on a special form + the languages in which they would like them (mostly E, F, D and I) and most were informed pretty late for that. So, Chronologs are expected by the end of the month. In recent years, ADs were attributed a number of Chronologs each without having to place an order, they only specified the language.
