Hi All;
i need your expert help, i have recently purchased (01/06/2008) a Breitling Bentley Motors white dial, i bought if in Amman Jordan from the offical retailer i found on the breitling website, the watch came in a beautiful dark green box with all the documentation (certificate of ownership, usermanual, warrenty etc). But how can i really tell this is an original breitling and the dealer is not playing some dirty tricks at the back of the watch i noticed two sets of numbers one is A25362 and way at the bottom of that i noticed 2266662->(not sure what this number is ), i also noticed minor small scratches i took it back to the dealer and he said i need to leave over night for polishing, so i did when i got the watch back most of the scratches at the back were gone, so i asked him why the scartches were there in the first place beside there is suppose to be a plastic wraper covering the back, he said it could be because some other customers removed it when they were looking at the watch and the plastic stand the watch was displayed on could have caused the scratch. Please help me identifiy if my breitling is real or fake. thank you very much

Hello bigboy4eva,

first I can assure You, that when You buy from a regular AD, that is listed on the Breitling Website, You will receive a real watch. To ensure, You just have to look at the stores other inventory. When they have a couple of luxury brands, they have no need to play dirty tricks on You. The only trick, that he might have played would be less discount compared to other customers...
If Anyone would inform Breitling, that he would selle counterfeit watches, he would loose all his High end watchbrands concessions within weeks.
The number A25362 is the model number of a Bentley Motors, 2266662 is a serial number, which is in the possible range at the moment.
The point with the scratches happens quite often, although it shows a little bit of "lack of care" from the retailer. But as customers often want to try a watch on their wrist, long bevore they can really buy the watch, it can happen. Good salesstaff will check the watch after a customer has tried it on and have it polished immediately if necessary.
Also the problem with the plastic stands is well known, and the AD should have replacement covering for the back. (too lazy to put it on?)

Alien is absolutely correct on being guaranteed authentic from an AD.

However, if you are STILL at all concerned, go to www.Breitling.com and look up your nearest Primary Breitling Service Centre. Give them a call and if they are anything like the UK they will allow you to send the watch in and they will authenticate it for you free of charge. You just need to pay postage.

However, if you bought from an AD I think you are probably worrying un-necessarily. I'm sure it's totally fine.

:yeahthat

You can check the serial number against the COSC certificate - it will match the top right number - and against the warranty booklet - on the last page.

As the others have said - nothing to worry about if bought from an AD.

Enjoy it - you lucky thing, you!

No worries.

It's thre real deal if you bought it from an AD. If you bought it from a man riding a donkey in Pakistan, then I would tell you that you should be worried.

:thumbsup:

Brian, so then I would be ok if he was riding, say, a Llama? :lol:

Seriously BB4E, i agree with the others. You're overly concerned, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Study pics here and the Breitling website and compare yours to them. Pay attention to detail. The Motors is a big watch and has a presence that is hard to duplicate. It will have a feel that tells you it's the real deal.
