I'm looking for some help deciding between these three watches. I saw the Olympus in person and had difficulty letting it go back in the case. I've found 2 used examples that are 99% - both pass for new. In the meantime, I've seen the old 1461 jours, which looks very similar, and then when I visited the Breitling Boutique, they talked to me about the new 1461, which I do not see on their website nor in the Chronolog. They told me they've had a couple in stock and that they sold right away. I imagine that the price is fairly high on it given that the list on the Olympus was in the upper $7's.

So I'm looking for advice deciding between these three watches. Are they generally the same and it comes down to aesthetics and cost, or are there differences that I should consider?

I had the new 1461 that was released at basel this year that I sold for a good friend. It's a limited run of 1,000. The one I sold retailed for $9,910 on the croc strap with the tang buckle and is 46mm. I can't open my pictures to post them but they're shown here.

It's really going to come down to your preference on design / size / price / etc. They all use the same movement, so no mechanical differences between them.

There was a great pre-owned on our site here. I thought the price was good at $4,200 and it looked like new-

Thanks for that info - looks awesome but that price tag is a little steep for me! Dont know if I would want a 46mm case - might be too large as a dress watch for me.

Thanks Roff - that's what I was wondering - basically the same mechanics cased-up differently. It does look like the new 1461 has the pushers and crown in alignment - one thing ricardo pointed out in his review of the Olympus was the crown digging into his hand sometimes, which I could see as an issue given its placement. But I think I'll go with the Olympus.

Thanks for that - I was considering it, but both pre-owned Olympus models I looked at on leather were $49XX ish, and I got one of them down, so far, to $4300, so it would seem to make sense to go with the Olympus at a similar price unless I am missing somehting. That's one reason I was wondering if there were differences between the models. But thnks again for pointing it out - tempting since I am close enough to the City.

I'm not expert, heck I know nothing, but that 1461 is pretty cool. It's like a computer with day, date, month and leap year all factored in. I'm just saying...Plus it was made in pretty small quantity, I think.

They won't be.

Caliber 19 is a modular movement which means that the complications are built on top of the base 2892-A2. Pushers attache to the complications module, crown attaches to the base movement.

That is my 1461 jours that is still for sale, the watch is beautiful and perfect for a suit or jeans, the gold markers and hands can't be found on any other navi.

It's just a gorgeous watch. I have not (yikes!) been a huge Navitimer fan, but I love the way this looks on a strap. Wish this was in my price range because I prefer the markers and size on it. Beautiful watch.

Actually, loving the B for B moon phase, too, although that seems out of my range as well.
