Hi Colin, nice new arrival. I would certainly class it as high end, but I'm not very knowledgable about other quartz models, and like you am biased. You've come to your senses and realised you can't do without a B1 eh? ![]() I love the black dial version. Has the bezel on yours been polished? It looks like it in the pics. Nick |

Its considered high end quartz. Generally speaking, anything with a thermocompensated quartz movement is considered "high end quartz." As far as its place on the hierarchy of HEQ, its at or near the top. Breitling are pretty well known for having arguably the best (most expensive?) quartz watches around. |

Congrats Colin on a superb watch. The B-1 SQ is the best of the best of quartz watches in my opinion. I wish I had kept mine, but had to sell to get my limited Airwolf. That's the ONLY reason. Congrats and wear it in good health. Don |

Great purchase Col. The B1 is a favorite, I was sorry to see Brieling lose the "full 6" on the Airwolfs. |

Thanks guys, Does a b1 normally come with a polished bezel as mine has one ? My B1 is a complete set from 2004 and has been to BUK for service 1st july 2011, do B1 have the normal week and year in the case at 6o clock as other breitlings do? Col. |

I noticed the Airwolf was gone from the website, just the Raven version left. |

The date should be stamped on the case between the lugs at 6 O'clock if it's a 2004 model. My first B1 was from 1999/2000 and didn't have the date marking, so older models may not. Here is a pic of my old slate grey,(you know the one ![]() ![]() Nick. |

Mine definately has no numbers As to the bezel finish it makes no difference to me polished or brushed both suit this breitling beauty. Col. |

Just out of interest spoke with the company who i thought sent it to BUK for a service(as i was beginning to panic) and apparently they are BUK accredited and can service breitling watches with parts bought from BUK. They have spent time at BUK and been trained accordingly, Is this common knowledge? They also have a accredited service centre stamp and number and give a 2 year warranty as BUK know do. Col |

All is good then mate. ![]() And I would have absolutely no chance of seeing the date without glasses or a loupe. Not aware of any Breitling accredited repairers. Interesting. They're not based in Chiswick in London are they? Nick. |

Dont know about others. |
