Recieved the correct paperwork for my SO the other day. I've owned it for a couple weeks now, and I am very pleased with it. Even with the ordeal leading up to getting it. It was a chain of unfortunate events trying to get a strap for my Steelfish, but ended in purchase of my new SuperOcean. Knowing the result, I would go through it all over again!

How great of a deal on the SuperOcean 42?

You lost me why you would drive 100 miles to pick up a strap that could be mailed for a few dollars... and do it twice. But sounds like you'll be happy in the end and that's really what counts.

The Diver Pro strap (with Breitling on it) is completely discontinued anyway so not sure how anyone could have ordered that even if it had ever been made in brown. Sucks that you didn't get better service but kind of agree with Time Bandit - I wouldn't do that kind of round trip just for a strap when there were more cost effective options.

You know,

I'm also the kind of fellow, who, when I'm really excited about something, tends not to be reasonable.

Watches cat's and cars can do it too me.

I am rather pleased you'd drive for miles to get a new strap. :superman:

Good on you.

Hope they fix everything up real soon.

Davey

authentic watches has the brown diver pro, so I guess it exists. I know they had discontinued the DP, but wasnt there something about them leaving it around in the end?

Happy to be wrong, but have never even heard of it before. Authentic watches 'has' a lot of straps that they don't actually have, but I guess the photo came from somewhere.

I'm not a cat person, but that really does look nice. Does it get larger? What kind is that?

Beautiful animal, a buddy of mine has one of those. As long as you can deal with their high energy level, they're great!!

Absolutely gorgeous. I'm thinking that's a Bengal, but I have to admit I have trouble telling the breed apart from some of the newer spotted breeds like the Savannah, despite the fact that I'm a Bengal owner myself. And yes, they do have high energy levels, but also such amazing personalities.

And, uh, for the record, I think it makes a lot more sense to drive 600 miles for a cat than 100 miles for a strap. I'm not sure the two are comparable. I got lucky, though; the breeder made the 300 mile trip and delivered mine in person.

It's really funny that my thread turned from Breitlings to Bengals. I own two myself. And yes, I made quite a trip to pick them up. Not 600 miles though.
