I'm also Canadian, have bought three Breitlings, the last from a forum sponsor and I can tell you that's the way to go. I would say visit a local AD to try em on, but then come back here and see what they will do for you. I was ready to buy my 6.75 gray market because I didn't think an AD would be close, but he almost matched the price! I don't get nailed too bad on duty but of course is another factor when bringing a watch in.

Which side of the border are you?

I can give you a recommendation in Toronto if you don't mind a day trip.

Yeah I actually got screwed up for a minute... I forgot how bad the exchange rate is for us
Americans right now.... NOW. If I would have been into these watches 11yrs ago we would be in business.lol

Definitely not used to hearing Americans interested in coming this way to shop now! That's why I assumed you were on this side. That said, my post to try the sponsors makes even more sense.

I know the guys at Koueiter in Grosse Pointe Woods just outside of Detroit on Mack Ave. They gave me a great deal on my SA awhile back & have always been very fair. I live out of state now so it was good not having to deal with sales tax too! If you're looking for a good AD in the area and don't want to deal with Tourneau - it might be worth looking into.
