Hi All, I am about to step into the world of becoming a Breitling owner ![]() What I need help with, is this the right Breitling to get? The issue stems from a couple of years ago getting a Tag Heuer Aquaracer Caliber S Lewis Hamilton Limited Edition but after having it replaced 3 times due to it braking I swapped it in for a Carrera. Looking back I'm am much happier with the Carrera as I thought the Lewis Hamilton aspect although a huge fan I felt was gimmicky. The Carrera I feel is more of a 'pure' watch given its history and has respect within the watch world. What I don't want to do is make the same mistake with the Red Strike, I don't want to spend near £6000 on such an iconic watch brand for it to be discredited by the Limited Edition aspect. As I've said I love the look of the watch but what do people think overall about the Red Strike aspect does to the Blackbird? Thanks |

I'll take a regular Blackbird over the Red Strike every day and twice on Sundays, but so what? If it's the watch that you like then that's all that matters. The value isn't going to matter much between them, you'll have pretty much the same retained value as a % regardless of model so get the one that you like. I understand that you may be concerned that you feel differently in a few years, but that has to be a personal decision. |

Dont forget there is a third option. The Blacksteel version comes with red sub-dial hands but doesn't go all out in your face about it. Not sure of the model number, but that has always been my favorite BB |

Hey Guys, New to this forum, I hope this is the correct thread to post this. I am about to buy a Breitling AEROMARINE SUPEROCEAN GMT (inclusive price of $3195) for my father as a gift. I chose this watch because he travels alot to humid places in asia... After some research, I understand that its a fairly new model and was wondering if anyone has anything to say whether good or bad about this particular model or product line? I plan to pull the trigger and pick this guy up from the website http://www.authenticwatches.com as they seem to have the lowest prices and would like to know if any of you guys have previous experiences in dealing with this vendor, and if possible, vouch for the authenticity of their products? They told me that they do give out a certificate of authenticity as a seller but do not have a certificate of authenticity from the manufacturer because watch companies dont generally give out certificates. Thank you all in advance for pitching in your 2 cents so I can have a great first Breitling experience. ![]() |

please do not buy from that site. an authorized dealer can basically match that price and you will get all genuine documents and peace of mind. |
