I fell in love with the mark 6 ever since I saw it a few years back and finally bought one this week. Now I find out it's being discontinued. How come? I think it's quite sporty and elegant at the same time. It's not as flashy as some of the other bentley series so you don't have to worry wbout people gawking over it. Also I've had a hard time finding reviews on the watch. So what's the general consensus on this item? Btw I got the standard mark vi with silver dial and steal band. I was thinking about the complication model, but I liked the desgin of the standard more. They also threw in a brown tang band. I'll have to figure out how to change that on my own. Hah.

The platinum bezel drove the price sky high. My AD was offering big discounts but still couldn't move them because the price was high versus the GT. It's a great looking watch(I would have chosen it over a GT), but most folks don't want to pay a couple extra thousand for a bezel that looks stainless except to a trained eye.

I'm guessing you got a very nice discount. Congrats BTW - I really like the look of the Mark VI.

I have a Complications 19 and really like it. Mine's blue and I find it a very interesting dial.

thanks for he reply. What do you consider a great discount? I mean I got a discount but nowhere near what I'm seeing online at some of the e-tailers. Some being almost 40% of. That's crazy. I looked at the gts as well but my wrist is small and those did look a little gaudy on my wrist. Haha. So now that they are out of production, ha do you think that will affect their value? I was also tryin to find out more info about he calibre 26b movement. How good is that? Nd what is it comparable to? which movement is it based off of?

My last watch was a tag link chrono. So this was a little step up:)

great. Thanks for That link.

How is the band holding up? do uou have the stanless steel band? I've had mine for a short time and I already see micro scratches on it. I swear i only rub it on anything but my shirt and skin. Can my skin scratch he steel? is it that fragile? Maybe I should have got a brushed bracelet like my tags. Hah.

I have the speed bracelet and the blue croc.

Bracelets attract scratches, it's a fact of life. Search for Cape Cod on the site and you'll find hundreds of posts on it.

Hmmm. I was thinking. Maybe the platinum beZel isn't that bad of an idea. A jewler should be able to spot a fake steel vs platinum bezel from a mile away. And a replica maker will have to spend a fortune to put platinum on their bezels and won't be able to only charge a few hundred for the pieces. If they charge more I doubt manynpeople wil want to buy them.

You can say that again.

I am a huge fan of this watch (prob b/c I am a member of the small wrist club), but have had trouble finding much.

Throw some pics up so a boy can dream.

There just isnt much in the way of reviews or even pictures. I am a proponent of buying used, so needless to say there arent many that pass through that market.

Until then....I will be enjoying the pics

Do you have any idea what the production numbers are for these models?

Here's a pic of me wearing it. I'll get some more without that grubby wrist later :)

I hope this is a real one :)

It's real, and Breitling doesn't release production numbers for models.

Any idea where to get estimates? I read somewhere that looking at the number of watches COSC certifies is a good range?
