If you could change one thing about your Breitling what would it be?

Mine would be that I prefer the second hand when using the chronograph (or is it when using the stopwatch?) to be smoother. I know Roff mentioned that it moves the same speed as the second hand in the subdial, but since it's longer it looks like it ticks - I want it to be completely smooth!

Maybe its just me, but the chonograph on my CSO does not tick at all. it has a seamless sweeping motion.
Again, maybe im just imagining it.

All traditional mechanical watches tick, it's the nature of the movement - it's just the speed of the ticking that varies. The only thing that can be done to make it smoother is to speed up the frequency of the movement - it's why Zenith's El Primero movement seems smoother (5 Hz vs. 4 Hz of a Breitling)

I was thinking that I would like the steelfish/navie world to have meatier hands maybe something like the new Superocean Abyss. Maybe it would look like crap, I don't know. :-)

I wish on some models Breitling would paint their hands to contrast the face. Kind of like the Explorer II GMT. At some angles, they are hard for me to read.

The bigger the face, the longer the chrono second hand, the more you will notice "ticking." Also a very thin second hand will show the vibration more. The second hand on my Steelfish is no different than the chrono second hands on my Navi, Evo, or Skyracer, EXCEPT it is thicker and appears to move more fluidly. The second hands on my Sub and GMT Master have a nice optical illusion - if you look at the very tip only, it has a ticking motion. But if you focus on the round lume spot it seems to be moving perfectly smoothly. The location of the lumed dot draws the eye from the tip of the second hand and gives the impression of more fluid movement. But they are all beating the same number of times per second.

28,800 bph is sort of standard these days. You want smooth? Check out the Breguet Type XXII

72,000 bph zipping the second hand around the dial in 30 second intervals. Have you seen one up close and in person? I have only seen videos.

I went to the Breguet store the other day but they were closing and had everything in the safe. The only thing they had out to show me was the double tourbillon.

Ive only seen the vids as well, but even there you can see how crazy smooth it is.

I think that would be a great idea. I said earlier in this topic the steelfish for me at times is hard to read. Thicker hands I think would not make the steelfish look too busy, considering there are no large numbers on the face to begin with. That and a color to contrast the face would be nice too.

A Date feature on my Hercules...would make it the perfect watch for me.

I would change the bezel on my Super Avenger for the bezel on the Avenger. Failing that, I would prefer a polished bezel as opposed to the brushed finish.
