Does anyone have a pic of a breitling movement that clearly shows the serial # on the movement? I know from a discussion last year the serial number is on the movement when sent to COSC, but would appreciate a pic of one. The particular caliber doesn't matter.

Don't have any pictures to hand, but if you are wondering where it is then it varies. Wearing a DB Cossie today and it can clearly be seen on the bridge that holds the escape wheel arbor. From memory it's in a different location on the 01 but still visible through the DB. On some others I believe that it's on the base plate.

I just found this photo of The Holiest of Holy LE Grails. It appears the last two #s emerging from under the left edge of the rotor are the same as the last two #s of the serial # visible on the display back. Is this correct?

Regrettably not as familiar with that model as I would like to be, but yes, I believe that will be the serial number. No other number there that would make any sense - it's not a jewel count or caliber number.

Yeah, only 25 people in the world! Size be damned, if a mint specimen of the CA Rattrapante came along, it would be wroth breaking the bank over. "Honey, you have to come home now. Dad spent the rest of your tuition money." Display back, double chrono, and a white gold bezel. I hope some ebay guy's "uncle" croaks soon.

Both #'s look like 34 to me.

Hopefully this comes up clear. This is a B17 from around 2004.

Is the serial visible on that? Looks like it would be under the rotor in that shot.

Quite clear, thanks. It is on a bridge among the perlage. I thought so but finding a good pic was difficult.

I "thought" I could see it on my office monitor, but now on my phone can't tell. Wishful thinking?
