A bit of advice please...

I bought my first and currently only Breitling a couple of years back from an established and respected retailer in South Manchester and it will come to no surprise to any of you that I'm keen to aquire another.

I have seen the exact model that I want for sale on Ebay, it's from a private seller also here in the UK at a competitive price (not too good to be true but a good deal) and things seem legitimate. The seller's feedback is excellent and the images of the accompanying packaging/documents etc. look authentic.

Before I commit (it's a "buy it now") what further checks should I do?, I'm thinking of asking the seller for the serial number but how/where can I check it out as genuine and being sold legitimately?

Thank you,

The first thing I would suggest is that you post the EBay listing in the replica section of this site. Let the guys look at it for you, and confirm that it is authentic. After that...make sure you are buying an established seller with a great track record. It's one thing to have a seller who has sold a lot of "stuff" on EBay, but I think it is different when you are buying from a seller who mainly sells timepieces.

Make sure you post the link to the sale in the replica forum.
