I am looking to buy either one of these with the strap and just wanted to get some opinions on the micro-adjustment feature on the clasp. My colleague had this strap in 2008 on his heritage. He told me that he sometimes had a problem with the micro-adjustment feature. Having looked at some pics of it, as well as a youtube video explaining how it works. I know it is operated by the push lever, but how strong is the mechanism? I mean, my co-worker complained that there were a few occasions when the mechanism would extend through accidental force. For example, he wears his watch a slightly loose and when it went to the wristbone area, sometimes he would bend his hand and the force exerted would stretch the strap and somehow extend the clasp. Is this a common issue? Just want to make sure before I pull the trigger, as £250+ for a clasp is not cheap. |

I had one that did it, but its by no means common and probably the best rubber deploy ant clasp on the market by any company. Get it |

I have not had any problems with it. Could be the way your friend wears it. |

I've had 4 or 5 and still have 3. Never a problem. Just cut and placed an new DPII to replace an OR and wasn't exactly gentle about it. I've never had a problem with any of them suddenly opening or extending. In fact I was just marveling 15 minutes ago what a terrific clasp it is. The ONLY thing I wonder about is how long it will take for the teeth to wear down. This is after a year of use. ![]() |

Actually, mine does that too. While the adjustment bar seemed very firm and produces nice loud clicks when adjusted manually, yet somewhow it would disengage & move on its own when worn on the wrist -- though it's really super easy & quick to re-adjust back. |

Stunning clasp, Sharkman's does appear to support a micro civilisation. ..... Which is good.... |
