So, my fairly new, (6 months old), Bentley GMT suddenly started loosing about 40 seconds per hour. Brought it back to my AD, who promptly sent it to Breitling for repair. Got the watch back about 45 days later, took it home, put it on and almost immediately noticed it was loosing time. To my surprise it's loosing about 40 seconds per hour!! How the heck could they send a watch out of the Breitling repair facility loosing 40 seconds per hour, especially if that's the reported problem to begin with. What the heck did they do to it, polish it! Needless to say it's headed back again. Doesn't say much for their quality control, I'm afraid. |

Hello Jlamb, Sorry to heard about that. I'm afraid but you will have to send it back to Breitling with your AD help and explaining that the watch is still loosing time, and you need a clear and detailed explaination for that problem. I have the same problem with a "reserve de marche" or power reserve with a Chrono-Matic 24 LE and I will send it back to Breitling Besançon (France) agin next week. They changed the "rotor" and said the power reserve is now 46 hours. In the reality the power reserve is only 12 hours, tested on 5 days based on a daily wearing. Sometimes the problem is more complex to resolve, but yes you have to be patient (3 week for the 1st repair, it should be the same for the second one, but under warranty of course, so at no cost for you but you won't have the pleasure to wear the watch during this time. Finally got my Bentley GMT back from Breitling service. Happy to report all is well. Sent my Evolution back for a 5 year service at the same time and it looks like it's brand new. Literally brand new. Happy days are here again. |
