Gentlemen PLEASE help me make a decision. I already own a very nice Crosswind B13055 and I hope to buy a Navitimer. I have negotiated a good price on the Navitimer (D13022) in the link below: http://www.watchfinder.co.uk/Breitling/ ... watch.aspx This watch has the stainless steel strap which I really prefer and is also has the gold outer bezel (D) which is an added bonus. The watch is 2001 date but doesnt have the original paperwork. It does however come with a warranty. I have also been offered a good 'buy it now' price on the watch (A23322) in the link below: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT This watch doesnt have a the stainless steel strap and it is from a private ebay seller. It is however newer (2007), has all paperwork & box and its £300 (sterling) cheaper. What do you experienced guys think??? Which one would you buy? ![]() |

Personally at a very quick look I would go with the first as on a Croco it would look smashing IMO. All this said I would hold back a bit. Take your time and be 100% sure of your purchase. I have bought a few watches from the sales section here and if you purchase from a trusted seller you will not be disappointed. For me, anyway, I would prefer to pay a bit more and be confidant in you purchase. Also buy the seller as much as you buy the watch. Good luck either way. ![]() |

I would have to vote for the A23322. It just has a more true Navitimer look to it when compared to the Old Navi. The tri-compax layout is really my favorite of the two although you really cant go wrong. The navi 01's are priced at $8K+ ,so this could be a really good time to get your hands on a well cared for second hand model that is the spitting image of Breitling's most recognized and long lasting model. Sure you dont get the in house and some other small details with the A23322, but for under $3K on a nice leather strap....Well sir that in my book is pretty damn good value. Good luck with the decision |

I also notice on the Old Navi model that the date change is occurring very early in the photo. That is best case scenario....Worst case is there is something wrong with it. Just worth a mention I thought |

Yes I noticed the early date change, but hoping that their service would correct that matter? I am leaning towards the A23322, but my 18 year old son is trying to sway me towards the D13022 - he likes the mention of a gold bezel !!! (He doesnt wear a watch - says that his mobile phone tells him everything he needs to know - typical youth - no style - even if he is correct !!!) |

Thank you all very much gentlemen. It looks like my queries may have brought too much attention to A23322, as the bids have now brought the watch to more than the seller was originally going to sell to me on a 'buy it now' basis - which he is obviously not now prepared to do. C'est la vie. It's probably still good at the current (£2000) price, but I think i'll leave it to somebody else. I'll keep looking. (Unfortunately the US market is out for me due to the prohibitive taxes/VAT etc). ![]() |

I don't mind the 7750 dial layout, but have never been a fan of the gold bezel. It looks like it doesn't belong on that watch. Who listens to an 18 year old anyway. ![]() |

Just keep an eye out and be ready to jump when the sale pops up. Keep an eye out on the Sales thread here and you will have some added comfort over the transaction which is very helpful while getting your feet wet in the second hand watch market. sharkman wrote: I don't mind the 7750 dial layout, but have never been a fan of the gold bezel. It looks like it doesn't belong on that watch. I think a SS/18k Navi bracelet might look more belonging. Just the bezel makes me think aftermarket. |

I just picked up A23322 and I love it! I believe it just presents the true look of a Navitimer. Good luck with whichever one you choose. |
