Post subject:  Newbie seeking advice...

Hello,

I've just purchased my first Breitling... a Navitimer and at this stage I'm thrilled with the look and the feel of the watch.

It's certainly up there with other watches that I have owned and still own.

Maybe I'm wrong but the watch does look more delicate that say my Rolex watches...

Any advice on dutiful care and attention as I won't be wearing the watch on a daily basis.

I have a Rapport winder... any thoughts on whether Breitling watches benefit/suit a winder during the down times?

Thanks :)

It's an automatic watch so will be fine on a winder. The Navitimer isn't particularly waterproof (rated 30m so not suitable for showering / swimming), but otherwise just enjoy it :lingsrock:

Wow... superfast response :D

Sometimes there seem the been various opinions re: winders but I've always been happy to use them on the Rolex and Omega's and found no issue.

I'm aware of the waterproof issue, but to be fair the idea of swimming in a watch just doesn't appeal, and whilst I've done it with a Tag a sense of dread always comes across... just incase... no pun intended

The very idea of a shower just seems plain wrong!
