Hello to all. I need some help regarding purchasing a super avenger. I went to see an approved dealer yesterday and was quoted $4700 out the door for one. I need help because I cannot for the life of me find any list prices for the super avenger post the price increase that happened earlier this year. According to the jeweler it is listing at $5490. Is this correct? I have been trying to look at websites that "claim" to have authentic Breitlings just to see if they have list prices that correspond with what the jeweler told me. I haven't been lucky. Would this be considered a good, fair, or terrible price? Pre tax, the price i was given was $4300 which comes out to a little over 20% before tax. I tried searching the forum to see if this question has already been asked but was unsuccessful so I apologize if i missed it. Thank you and please help.

Price is correct and 20 - 25% is about what you will get in the US.

If you buy off the web then they are non authorised sellers and you have no Breitling warranty.

Hi, and welcome to Breitlingsource. Authenticwatches.com always give what they say is the MSRP on the watches they sell, in addition to their discounted price. Usually they are correct, but not always. (The same goes for Jomashop.com.) They do say the current MSRP of the Super Avenger is $5490, which Roff already confirmed is correct. As Roff said, the online sites are grey market sellers, but it sounds like you were only looking at them as a pricing reference, which is exactly what I use them for. At any rate, if the sales tax rate in your state is about 9.3% (ouch!), then yes, your AD is giving you about a 22% discount before tax. That's right in the standard discount zone, and is a fair price. Purchasing interstate from an out-of-state AD would let you avoid sales tax, and is a viable option. You also may or may not be able to get a slightly better discount, although any improvement likely wouldn't be by much. The obvious advantage of going interstate is saving $400 in sales tax. The cons of going this route are that it doesn't support local brick-and-mortar commerce, nor does it help establish a relationship with a real live person or store that you can go to if you need assistance.
