OsearyDrakoulias I understand you concerns. But let us lay down the facts. Durability is a function of attributes! In other words, you can not say that a navitimer is not durable because it will not withstand a deep dive. It was not made for that in the first place. So to have a fair assessment for anything we should start by asking what was it made for.

Then you have two aspects to really assess:

1-Reliability: the consistency in and assurance that it will deliver exactly what it says it will do (so for example, if your watch keeps time within the range of COSC, then you can safely say it is reliable).

2-Durability: for how long it will keep delivering that promise without the need for servicing or maintenance (and if your watch works as it was meant to work for let’s say 5 years without the need for anything except the auto and/or manual winding, then it is durable).

Having said that, it is fair to ask yourself what was the datora made for and assess it against the above.

I myself own the same datora, and I will never take it under water and I will not risk subjecting the movement to deep and harsh shocks of golf playing, but this does not mean at all that it is not an excellent watch. As a matter of fact you should be very proud that you have made an excellent choice.
