Good evening all,

I'm on the lookout for an Emergency and am speaking to a chap who's selling pretty much what I'm looking for.

It's a E56121.1 model with Coral face and both the standard link bracelet and a divers rubber strap. It comes with all boxes and docs from his purcahse etc but hasn't had a service since 2007. Condition looks good from the pics other than some of the black paint is missing from the 'N' on the bezel.

He's asking £2500 for it which I've told him is far too high which he's admitted he knows and is keen to talk.

Just wondering what sort of value you would put on this? I'm thinking £1500 given it's going to need a service and is the older model? (I need the transmitter fully functional as I regularily fly single seat over some pretty remote terrain in Scotland)

Appreciate any thoughts....

Regards

Des

To be honest with you, I think you'll struggle to get an Emergency in the UK for £1500, assuming it's condition is good except for the bit of paint on the "N". Your best bet for values is to check out Chrono24.com -

http://www.chrono24.com/en/search/index ... ortorder=1

The cheapest one is in Germany for £2097, and it looks like it's missing it's papers, so unless the seller doesn't really know what he's selling I think £1500 is likely to be too low. Of course if you manage to get a fully working, decent condition Emergency for £1500 you'll get a great deal!

Cheers for that, I was looking last year and it seemed they could indeed be picked up at that sort of level but methinks prices might have moved back up a bit.

I'm not interested in the bracelet so I was going to have a stab with an offer of £1500 with just the diver strap, by the time I've serviced it I'll have spent getting on for £1850 which I'd be happy with if I can get it at that.

Seller didn't seem to know a great deal about it and I had to direct him to get the numbers off it...

Good morning all.

I'm pleased to say that after a long drive to Northern England and back yesterday I am now the proud owner of the Emergency I mentioned above, I didnt get it for £1500 (I had to try ;-) ) but I am very happy with the price.

Its overdue a service and has a couple of scuffs so it will be going into the dealer shortly, once its back I'll post up some pictures...!

In the meantime, does anyone have the e-mail address for the girl at Breitling I need to e-mail to get the registration details transferred...?

Kind Regards

If you got it for anywhere close to £1500, I'd say you did well! Congrats on the pickup.

£1800 inc Both Straps, Box (with all the bits) Service History etc and a few other bits and bobs such as the valuation from Berrys back in 2007 etc.

As I say there are a few light scuffs etc and I think the watch battery must be on its last legs (not been serviced since 2007). Transmitter still works on the tester but the LCD display isnt that bright, I've done a bit of reading and I see there is no backlight but I'm wondering if the battery is running low also?

Anyway its going back to Breitling on Monday for a full service and 'm hoping it will come back as good as new... perhaps I should do some before and after pics?!?!?

Bargain eh! Looks great with the coral face on the Diver Pro....
