Actually, I don't dislike the appearance, but if it were "factory" it would be different.

Well the fact that it still has the name of a fake site on the picture might give you a bit of a clue.........

Messina Jewelers deals in fakes? They sell a lot of stuff on Chrono24 that sells for legit prices, and the stuff I've seen looks real. This Blackbird, admittedly, does not.

I don't think it is fake. I think it has been heavily "customized" after market.

Not familiar with Messina Jewellers, but that (to me unreadable) mark looks a lot like a fake site's 'watermark'

It's Messina Jewelers's mark. It's hard to read in that pic, but I've seen it enough times I can recognize it. They're selling that watch for $6k on their website, so if it's a fake, they're sure not representing it as one. The same goes for a lot of other pieces they sell. They have a b&m showroom in Miami, so it seems they're similar to the European Watch Company in Boston, who specialize in aftermarket sales of luxury watches.

Looking more closely at the Blackbird in this thread, I'm inclined to agree with Tom. The dial looks real enough; it just seems like the watch has been heavily customized.

Concur. I think it was sent to "blackout" or whatever that company is that PVD's Rolexes, etc.
