First off, i hope this is in the right forum, if not i'll apologise now!

Anyway i'm within touching distance of owning my first Breitling and am thinking of the Chrono Colt II. Blue dial with the pro strap.

Just wondered if anyone has one and what you all think of it. Would love a Skyland but as i'm getting married this year i dont think i can talk my way into one....YET.

Also if anybody has any recomendations of a good AD. I'm from the NW of the UK (Chester)

Every Breilting is a good watch. You cant go wrong with any of them. That said though (and im only making the statements because you expressed interest in the Skyland), the Colt Chrono is a quartz watch. It is also much smaller than the skyland, and just one of the smaller breitlings in general. Its still a great looking watch though.

You could save up a bit more and go for a Superocean Chrono, which is one of my favorites. It looks much like the colt chrono, but its biger and its an auto. That one looks the most like a colt chrono.

If you dont need a chrono, you have a lot of similarly priced options, such as the Steelfish, the Superocean, the Colt Auto, Colt GMT, and the superocean heritage 46 (on the ocean racer strap, this one is amazing).

RJ is right, for that price you can get into a non-chrono auto in a more respectable case size. If I were you I would definitely check out the Superocean Steelfish, easily one of the more impressive Breitlings when seen firsthand. I don't want to start an argument here, but I just have to state my opinion that I would not spend that kind of money on a quartz watch. Find a nice auto, even if it's not a chrono.

Have you tried Waltons by The Cross in Chester ? as they are a AD

Do not know what they are like as I have had no dealings with them yet, barr getting a chronolog off them.
Will be going there myself in a few weeks to see what sort of deal they can do on a SuperOcean SteelFish, will let you know how I get on

I agree with the guys above. The Superocean Steelfish is hard to beat. I think I saw a beautiful blue face one in the buy/sell section also. But if you have your heart set on a Chrono Colt then I would definately go that route. It's a great watch. Remember your watch needs to speak to you. :D

And congratulations on the upcoming marriage and welcome to the forums!

Just bought my Superocean from Waltons by the eastgate clock in Chester and they knocked approx 12% off the display price,
their other shop by the Cross offered similar discount on a Avenger Seawolf I was think of getting until I found the Superocean I really wanted.
Found the staff in both shops very helpfull.

hopefully that will help you a bit leftfield

Waltons discounts aren't that great. You can get around 20% from DM Robinson in Liverpool (the one by Blue Coats school) without too much negotiation.

my opinion - save up and buy the watch you really want, although a nice watch -dont spend that amount of dough on a quartz
