In Prague, at an AD my wife -- who's a die-hard Breitling fan -- had a chance to try this exact Galactic 36 watch on:

Image

((( Reference: C3733012|BA54|415X|A16D.1 )))

And surprisingly, she loved it. She loved the rose gold, the size, and didn't even mind the lack of diamonds. I assumed this combination of rose gold and black dial would be more for men. Would you get this for your wife/gf? Would you get this with one more twist, on an Ocean Racer rubber strap? My wife loves Hublot, and she loves the concept of gold+rubber. But even a quartz gold Hublot would cost at least 3 times more than the Galactic 36 :(

A bit of background on my wife's watch collection so far:
- Tag Heuer Aquaracer Ladies Quartz (steel head, white dial, steel bracelet)
- Tag Heuer Link Ladies Quartz (steel head, black dial with diamond hour markers, steel bracelet)
- Breitling Chrono Galactic (steel head, white dial, steel Pilot bracelet)
- Breitling Cockpit Lady (steel head, leather strap)
- Rado Sintra (black ceramic)

I forgot to note down the price of the rose gold bezel Galactic 36, so if you know its MSRP by heart, please let me know.

Don't get me wrong, I love this combo too, and I too would get it for myself. But I'm not sure how would it look on a petite young woman...

everyone is missing the REAL problem - look at the lack of symmetry between the wife's and OP's collections! Dude, you are owed at least 2 watches.

I see no reason why it couldn't be a woman's watch, clearly it's made as a 'women's size' and I think that the colour combo is 'classic' rather than masculine.

My wife thinks it's too masculine. This is coming from a girl who wears a men's Rolex milgauss.

Since you like it, and as Sharkman pointed out, I think you should get it for your self.

This. Although he does have a Sub C in there, that goes a long way towards making up for it.

Anyhow, I agree with Roff.

Funny but the more petite they are the more they love a big watch, mine loves to wear my Panerai to the point that I almost do not get to wear it anymore

I actually downsized my watch collection last year to make room for the Sub-C. Before that we had roughly the same number of watches everytime. I'll get back to symmetry soon though, since I'm considering adding an AP Royal Oak 15300ST and a DateJust II as well 8)

Thank you for the answers. I've just found out that the Ocean Racer strap is not an option for this watch, since there's no OR with 18mm lug width

That watch is stunning. Wouldn't buy it for my woman (she's not into watches), but would if I could. There is an occasion for everything, and I can't help but think this watch would look great and function as well. And let's be honest, isn't that what every woman wants?

I think a woman would look sexy as h...l in this watch. And I would love to find a woman (single) who was into gold AND rubber. You cannot go wrong with that combo. You, sir, are a lucky man!
