Hey All,

Just want to seek opinions on these two stealth looking watches, which one would you choose (Price apart) and why?

I'd choose the IWC Top Gun by a MILLION miles!

Firstly the case is ceramic not DLC coated steel, and secongly, while both a running movements based on the 7750, IWC are renowned for very heavily modifying them (more so than Breitling). Plus I just think the IWC is more handsome and refined piece.

As you have said the price difference is considerable, but that aside it's not even a close call IMO. The IWC is way way way ahead.

:yeahthat

I don'y know if you've been able to see and try them both on in person, but the Top Gun is an absolutely amazing watch. In my opinion it just blows the Avenger Blacksteel out of the water. While the Avenger BS is a nice watch, I just think that the Top Gun is in another league and worth the price difference and the strap for the Top Gun is much nicer than the rubber on the BS IMHO.

Well said Driver. This watch is stunning in person, and in my opinion is miles in front of the ASBS.

Wow! what a suprising result! Given this is a Breitling forum! :D

Everyone has voted for the IWC Top Gun so far! Is there no love for the BS Skyland when compared to the IWC Top Gun?

I thought the BS Skyland is carbonised steel, correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, with the ceramic casing of the Top Gun. Is the steel coated with ceramic or..?

IWC for me too. It's not even close.

Having said that, I'm not big on the Top Gun branding. The rare non-Top Gun ceramic is better.

There was, but not in production any more. It was a LE, I think. Do a Google search on IWC 3786 and you'll see them.

Should add that the 3786 is a doppel chrono, not a single chrono like the pic in your original post.

I don't know if there was ever a non-TG ceramic single chrono.

Well, I tried to find a watch to my liking in the IWC line, but I didn't...
I prefer the Breitling.

Id take the IWC if it werent a "Top Gun." Its just too corny with the logo on the back and the airplane hands.
