just curious to get an official poll here on how many of you guys would purchase another Breitling in the near furture. Me personally since the increase and tast changes, will not be buying anything Breitling in the foreseeable future. There is just WAY too many other watches that i would rather own.

I voted 'yes' and hopefully have something this week. Saying that it will be the last Breitling I purchase for a while because these price increases are just becoming too much IMO. I'm only purchasing a new watch as I'm trading in the 312 at a decent price.

Cheers

I just havn't got the feel for the 312 at the moment, certainly not the same feeling I have towards the other 3 Breitlings I have so I just thought bugger it, I'll flip it and get myself a 'World' something I've wanted for a good while now. Don't get me wrong the 312 is a great watch but I'm looking forward to the new addition, hopefully this week. The AD said there would be an increase on this watch as of 1st June so that probably made my mind up.

Cheers

I won't be buying any new Breitlings for the foreseeable future. However, I might still consider aftermarket purchases, since most of the Breitlings I like have now been discontinued. Still, I voted no, because the poll specified purchases of new Breitlings.

i hear ya jackson and i dont blame you. the new stuff is just too much from to stomach. i certainly can enjoy the older pieces and if there was something that came up that was a "steal" i would probably be all over it.

@ Andrew - once you get hit with the bug you gotta do what you gotta do. world is cool looking piece. are you selling the 312 privately? i saw a world silver dial in the for sale section looks pretty good condition. might as well save a few bucks and get what you want :D

I voted no but only because i have bought two breitlings this year and i am happy with my lot for the time being. All this said not much in the new line up suit me and the few that do are way to expensive imo. I will own a breitling in house some day but it will be from the second hand market and will not be for some time.

No, I won't. I have already purchased three Navi Legendes this year, so my budget is pretty much tapped out for the next 12-15 months. But even that notwithstanding there is absolutely nothing in the B lineup that appeals to me. Much as I try to like the B01 I just can't bring myself to accept the bezel design, much less pay 9K for the privilege of wearing one.

I think th :) at my next piece will either be Omega or JLC.

I voted "yes" only because I am currently smitten with the Monty 01 and I would like to add a Breitling with in-house movement before the year's end. The Monty is the perfect size for me as well :D However, like many among you I do struggle with the price augmentations  I was actually laughing today reading all the posts about the price hikes, if Breitling continues like this I guess Rolex will become the cheaper alternative in terms of price for many of us

I haven't decided yet if the price is right for the Monty 01, though, but since I am considering it I thought it would be appropriate to vote yes. If I decide the price is too much, there is always the older style Monty's in the 38mm with the sword shaped hands, that I think are simply stunning as a classier dress watch.

hahaha its not hating my friend. simply put its just the common theme for most of us that we are not pleased with the new price points for what this brand is. Breitling use to be a brand that when you purchased it you felt you were getting a great deal and a great looking watch. this is obviously just my opinion but the new things they have done like killing the blackbird and chronomat and giving us the choice for some weird looking chronomat with an upgraded movement but making it look like it came out of a cracker jack box is not my cup of tea. and im not the only one on here that feels like this. and honestly at these prices now there are other brands that hold their resale value much better and IMO designs that are better looking.

I voted no - not too many that appeal to me at the moment, and I'll look resale right now. Of my recent purchases that weren't from an AD, the Martin Braun (that ended up going back as it was broken), the Franc Vila, the Louis Moinet and the Romain Jerome were all either new or virtually new and they were all lower than list price on the Navitimer 01 - three of them were lower than I could get the Navitimer 01 for from an AD.

To me, that's ludicrous.

+1 :yeahthat . when you think of it thats nuts.

@ FEAR hey bud the resale on these things at the end of the day are still pretty crappy. take my GT racing for example on croco deployant i think the list is roughly 7300 or so. i would be lucky to get 3700 and thats just me being honest. now we can all say what we want about them being over produced, but look at rolex they make close to 4 times as many watches as per cosco numbers in 09 and their resale is much higher. this is due to them having that cult like following. this is JMO but the only way to do that is to stop making crazy changes to the lineup.

Very true , but I'll wait a year or two and pick up an 2011 for a fraction of the price

I did just pick up a new B&R 03-92 :nana:
