I agree Admin, but I also think it'd look pretty amazing on a black metal strap - which would also allow people like me (who get their hands wet) to wear it without having to worry...

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I'm a bracelet man myself... in fact, of all my watches I regularly wear.. which is about 9, only one is on a strap.. the rest are on bracelets because I prefer them too!

Call me devil's advocate, BUT...

I'd like to be the first to properly defend the straps.

Now I agree that bracelets on ALL Breitling's look great - but I personally believe there are some models which are enhanced by a strap IF you choose the right one.

I have just bought myself my first ever Breitling (in fact it's my first ever "proper" watch).

I chose the Montbrillant Datora with the Havana Dial. It's absolutely stunning.

It's second hand and comes with both a navitimer bracelet and a brown croco strap.

Obviously the Havana dial is a lovely brown/copper colour (color to you americans!), which in my humble opinion looks even better with the strap than it does with the bracelet.

I accept there are areas in the world where a strap isn't practical, and I don't deny my watch looks wonderful on a bracelet, but there's something about the dark brown strap which makes the face look even more striking.

I admit there are probably not many Breitlings that look better on a strap (in fact I doubt there are ANY outside the Navitimer range - the others are just too thick and chunky for it to look right), but there is definitely a place for straps.

There - that's my argument.

That's put the cat among the pigeons!

Well said, toby! I'm glad you are enjoying your new Datora.

I prefer the bracelets myself, but yeah... some people just like the staps.. evidenced by all the paneristi's out there (or whatever they are called)

Haha - I wish I could say I was enjoying it!

I pick it up tomorrow - I CANNOT WAIT! SO excited!

I like your site by the way - found it through facebook - I like that you can be a bit more opinionated than on a certain other watch site which I'm sure many of us visit with great frequency!

Yeah! I remember talking with you on facebook. You were on the hunt for a havana dialed datora in the UK. If you feel that you don't want that Bracelet with the Datora and want to sell it let me know ;)

The other board doesn't allow you to be too opinionated because they run a business... they need to keep all the companies happy because they advertise with them... its politics, unfortunately :(

As long as u don't spam my board, and promote sales of replicas im a happy guy :)

I'm fairly sure that this Skyland will be my next watch:

However I need to see it in person to see how big it is compared to the Chrono Avenger

The square one I think is ugly. The skyland is cool though.
