I am deliberating between these 4 new pieces, and would appreciate your advice, opinion, list price and recommended price to pay, or where I should buy them from.

1. B4B GMT + bracelet, all SS
2. B01 GMT + bracelet, all SS
3. B01 + bracelet, all SS, with diamonds bezel
4. Transocean SS

Wondering, is it not recommended to order from a remote AD after price was pre-negotiated?

I'm in California.
Would not mind going to get it from any location in CA or Las Vegas.

All Breitlings will retain pretty much the same % value over any given period of time, gold pieces will be the exception where resale will be an even lower %. You'll never make money on any new purchase so why worry about it?

Makes sense. What is the best approach to build a collection assuming you may want to sell some of them (as you fall out of love)?

which one of these do you like the most? if it were my purhcase i would go for the one that either originally caught my attention or the one that i personally thought looked the best. and make sure that you REALLY love the watch and wont flip it down the road for something else, because the resale value will make you want to cry

Obviously nobody can tell you which one will suit you the best. However, if it were me, I'd go with the Chronomat 01 with diamond bezel, assuming the bezel is OEM, and not aftermarket. The biggest reservation I have with all the latest-gen Chronomats is the Buck Rogers font on the bezel, which simply isn't present on a diamond bezel. (This presupposes you're going with the standard diamond bezel, and not the 60-diamond bezel, which still shows the numerals.) Breitling's own diamond bezels are very tastefully done, minimizing the garishness and bling factor that so often accompanies diamonds on men's watches. The Chronomat GMT is absurdly large, as is the Bentley GMT, although one person's absurd is another person's wonderful. The fact that you're considering both watches indicates you might not be so put off by the size. As for the Transocean, are you talking the chrono or the standard? I think the chrono is pretty nice overall. It's rather the diametric opposite of the other watches you're considering - the smallest, as well as the most refined and least attention calling. If they put it on a "proper" bracelet (e.g., Pilot, Navi, Speed, etc.) with form fitting endpieces, it might actually be my top pick among the options you've listed, but I can't quite get on board with the mesh bracelet, and I'm not much of a strap guy. I find the standard Transocean (non-chrono) utterly boring.

And here in onyx black with Romans... I didn't post the this one on bracelet because Breitling's configurator has a software issue emailing that version. It sends the one with the smaller double row diamond bezel which is not as attractive as the one pictured IMO. Best, Ron

Buy from an AD; keep all the paperwork, boxes, etc.; keep a record of all services. These will all help with your resale. As for which watches go into your collection, as has been said, buy what you like.

I have no idea how to answer that, and no offence, but I find it a bizarre question. I buy a watch because it appeals to me, and while personally I never sell people will sell a watch either because they have 'gone off it' or because they are prepared to sacrifice it in order to obtain a piece that they want more. Over time if you buy more than you sell then you end up with a collection and people will sometimes look at that collection and decide to get rid of a piece or two that are similar to others and replace with something that is 'missing' from their collection but I don't know of anyone who has started out with the intention of buying a collection with a strategy to match.
