Over the past few years I have collected a fair few Lings, most are automatics and a few quartz models. The issue I have is what's the best way to store them, up until now I've been keeping them in a safe and occasionally take them out, wind them up and put them back! As some are brand new and not ever worn, will they get enough lubrication and what happens to the lume on the hands if they rarely see light? I know there are many collectors in this forum and I welcome your advice. |

If they are a chrono, start the chrono every few months and let it run a full 24 hours. matt1124 wrote: and what happens to the lume on the hands if they rarely see light? Nothing. Sitting in a safe (or box) with no light, shouldn't cause any problems for the lume. Otherwise buy a multi watch winder and leave them on it all the time. |

I would run the chrono for 24 hours a month - just leave it running and then it will run on a monthly full wind, but broadly speaking......... ![]() |

That's great advice, thank you both. I have a single winder but think I'll wind them up till I save up enough! |

What are the risks involved if you don't or if you run it for only 2 or 3 a month? |
