Post subject: | Question with time change |
If my memory serves me corrrect, it is recommonded to only use clockwise direction to avoid any issue. My B4B is set to go opposite when setting correct time. My dial hands will only go forward turning crown towards me ( opposite clockwise). Is this how all Breitling is set? And will turning crown opposite will hurt the watch in the long run? Thanks |

You can wind time backwards as long as it is not between 8pm and 3am. However, it is recommended to go forwards whenever possible. Currently being discussed here - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=30788 |

What I mean is my B4B's clock hands go forward with counter clockwise movement. All my previous watches have been clockwise movement will make the hand dial forward. It seems like Breitling is the opposite. So counter clockwise goes forward and clockwise goes backward. Hope this makes sense. Thanks |

Thanks Some go that way, some the other, it's just the design of the movement. |

It's the hands that should ideally always go clockwise : the direction that the crown turns in order to get the hands to move clockwise doesn't matter. If memory serves, on all the mechnical watches I've owned, the hands move clockwise if the crown is moved counter-clockwise. Quartz watches (again, if memory serves) seem to go the other way. |
