Hi Everyone,

My Name is Simon and I'm an Architectural Designer based out of South London. I have had a passion for watches for a few years now, but most of the watches I own have been bought as gifts or for pure design and I have never really considered the mechanical goings on as an important factor until now.

After a budgeting and research on this fantastic forum, my current watch collection is now graced with a Breitling Colt Automatic with a black face and I couldn't be happier. The things I really love about the watch are as follows,

- The quality of the face is exceptional, the rigged effect and the applied hour markers are just so damn classy.
- The metal bracelet is comfortable, if a little sweaty, but again is a real eye catcher
- The weight of the watch is spot on in my opinion. I used to wear a tag and found it a little cumbersome and oversized. I have small wrists, so the 38 mm size is about right for me.

The watch has just come back from a full Breitling service and seems to be holding time very accurately, and sweeps along beautifully.

Any suggestions on an alternative strap for the future? I have a CWC with a Nato strap and think it's great but also like leather.

Attached is a terrible photo which doesn't do the watch justice and shows lots of hairlines scratches taken from my phone, will post better pictures soon

Many congratulations on your Colt, it looks great.

I work in and around South London, (Putney mainly), so i'll keep an eye out for a guy
wearing a Colt automatic,- and a big smile accross his face. :D

Nick.

Congrats. But pleeeeeease don't put a Nato on it. A Breitling brown calf strap would look terrific.

Very nice,

Wear in health, would look nice on brown leather as suggested,
also try it on a pro2 rubber for a nice sporty look.

Regards

Col.
