I've heard from 2 people now the word on the street is the Blackbird will not be continued.
Anyone have word one way or the other?
I'm getting scared.

Pretty sure that's common knowledge. There's been a couple of posts where the person bought a BB just for that reason. It makes no sense unless there's a new one on the way, but no doubt what they come out with will be scary in several ways. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=30384 |

Discontinued at Basel, no replacement yet announced although we have to assume that an in house version will happen at some point. |

Hey Justin, Unfortunately this is the sad truth; discontinued. Crazy, yes. Hope you can track one down. Are you absolutely looking for a new one or will a previously enjoyed bird do? |

I suppose I missed that memo. I am working 2 jobs at the moment and must have been too preoccupied to note it. If there was ever a piece I would prefer new, this would be it. That being said, I simply can't afford it at the moment. I need a totally trojan plan. FML. |

Thanks Drtymrtini, I wouldn't assume they are hard to find yet. I'm going through a divorce at the moment and have a second job to dig out of the hole and along with that is getting the money together to pick up the Blackbird. I have had my eye on one for a long time, but I just have not had the chance to buy one. I had every intention of buying one ASAP, I just didn't realize they would be discontinued so soon.

Look on the bright side, Justin. If you wait long enough, you can probably buy the new in-house version with a Buck Rogers bezel for the bargain price of $9k.
