Hello all you Breitling guys,

I need help! I am clueless about Breitling watches, but want to buy a classic Navitimer for a surprise for my husband. We live in Argentina but travel a lot in South America, US and Germany. Does the price vary significantly? The price I'm getting quoted here in BsAs is about US$ 10K. Does that sound right? I was hoping to get off with about 5K. Any suggestions? Is it possible to buy an unused older model?

That price is ludicrous.

The current Navitimer is a new in house movement which is more expensive, but not that expensive, especially allowing for a discount. There will also be some authorised dealers who still have the previous generation that was discontinued earlier this year. There is a US based forum sponsor who can ship overseas - Govbergs. PM jnelson3097 for contact details and they can give you a quote - not sure if they have any older ones (which will be closer to your $5k budget), but can't hurt to ask.

Also, you can considered a lightly used one which will fit in your budget if you stay away from the in house model.
