I think part of that is for the special "quilted diamond" dial. At least when I bought a regular blzck dial a few months ago, the "quilted diamond" ones were higher.

Re prices..........they have just started selling Breitlings in my local COSTCO........couldnt identify which model as i was in a hurry........ :?

They've been selling them for years - just another grey market dealer.
