A slight turn up for the books on Friday the 13th.

I was all prepared to go and pick up my new Navitimer Olympus from Andrew Michaels after being offered it at a silly price. True to his generous and unpredictable nature he then goes and offers me a brand new, never out of the box, Montbrillant Olympus on the stunning Navitimer bracelet at an even sillier price. I loved this watch when Andrew Michaels lent me one for a review recently so it was an easy decision to make. Plus I figured I had already owned a Navitimer Olympus and I really want a Cosmonaute at some point, which is pretty much the same as a Navitimer.

I've never been superstitious but it was not lost on me yesterday that I was picking up a watch with a day/date display and I had to set it to the dreaded Friday 13th. To make this procedure even more enjoyable Sam also gave me a fantastic and rare (?, I've never seen one) Breitling adjuster tool.

All in all, I'm incredibly happy.

Very nice indeed. The brass pusher tool is standard on the Montbrillant Olympus. Enjoy your great watch.

Navy Olympus???? I've been looking for one of those. How much would it be in USD? Send me a PM if you can. I'm looking for a Navy O with a white dial.

Congrats on the Montbrillant Olympus...it's a great watch! I miss mine!

I seem to love anything remotely 'white' on a Breitling dial. Nice watch!

Cheers

Hi -

Sorry for the newbie question, but why does the Montbrillant Olympus need a special adjustment tool? What makes it different from other Breitlings?

Thanks.
Mike

It is a semi-perpetual calendar (4 year) watch and has a couple recessed pushers in the case side for setting/adjusting the date. The brass tool simply has a pointy tip to use on those pushers. A ball point pen works just as well, but it's cooler having a special tool in it's own little tube.

Hi Sergio,

I'm afraid they only have one left and it has a black dial. Let me know if you're still interested and I'll hook you up.

Here are the pushers that sharkman is talking about. These pushers control the day, date, month, and moon phase.
