I bought my Super Avenger in December, and have not taken it off, other than to shower. I work heavy road construction and this thing seems to stand up well. Just curious if anyone else wears their watch hard.

Kudos to you for putting it to heavy duty use, for which it was built. In truth, I'm so fussy about watch condition and how much money they cost that I wear a beater for anything that might get a nice watch scratched. About the most exotic thing I've done with a nice watch is snorkeling in the ocean. My Rolex GMT handled it like a champ, but next time the Steelfish takes the trip.

I find the Aeromarine line pretty tough. Been wearing my CA for years at work, and it was with me when I got in a bad car accident. My Ford Explorer was totalled, but myself and my CA walked away unscathed....

I have actually scratched walls, corners and other surfaces with my Avenger Blacksteel and nothing ever shows on the watch itself. I just brush the debris off the bezel. I wear my Airwolf all of the time while performing pre flight duties and utility operations and the only sign of wear is from the zippers on my flight suits. Those tiny scratches on the casing bug the crap out of me and Cape Cod cloths have become a part of my post-flight duties.

I can't speak for the other models (even though I own a few) but the Steelfish is bullet proof. The one I wear everyday has been knocked into everything, painted and sprayed with all kinds of stuff, submerged into mud and overall.....just WORN! It is super accurate and just runs like a champ. I cant say enough about the "rugged-ness" of this one.

If rigorous coitus counts, absolutely. Hard and often!

Yep... a couple times now! I have a bad habit of working out in the shop and forgetting to take off my watch. Once I had white paint running down my arm and onto the watch until I realized it and recently I was spraying some white paint and .....apearantly forgot to remove said watch.... and later noticed little white dots all over the watch! The head comes clean easily but the OR strap still has minor traces of white paint dots!

I should be a reliability (abuse) field tester for Breitling. :) BTW, motor oil or grease will come off the watch fairly easily as well!

She's plenty scratches and has a few small dings.... and I love her. It was a giant relief to stop worrying about protecting her from the world and start enjoying the watch. Now the other watches.... well they are looked after very cautiously!

I purchased my Windrider - Chronomat Evolution back in 2008 and have never taken it off since. Its been through 100's of 1,000's of flight miles, gardening, swimming, 55,000 km of motorcycle touring, showering, etc. Why a Chronomat Breitling... because every second counts.

The bracelet has its hair-like scratches but only visible up close, the bezel has very small nick or two only visible up close. I only clean it with warm water and mild shampoo & polish it with a mirco-fiber cloth and shines like new for those next day meetings.

Much like a wedding ring that can be passed to next generations; I wear my watch - Trophies are kept behind glass, Live life don't watch it, live the miles don't trailer it (the bike), experience the cultures and wear the watch every day because you can....

Enjoy! :lingsrock:
