Post subject:  Slipping while setting time

Today I set the time on my SOII and wound it up as usual. While setting the time I was finely adjusting the min hand when I noticed that as I rolled the crown forward or backward there was some "play" in the hand's movement, and the movement was delayed about 1/4 turn of the crown. The last time I set the time it felt tight and responsive as I manipulated the crown. It was 10:30 at night, is the date change issue involved? Thanks for the help.

It's tough to know whether it's a problem just based on a description - there should be some play to avoid the running train binding, but your very description of turning the crown in both directions (i.e. advancing and retarding time) in the danger zone is worrying enough - you should not use the quick set date or wind time backwards between 8pm and 3am.

If you aren't sure then get it checked out.
