Don`t know if this will be of any use to You or You allready know, - but it can be done to read the prod year/month between the lugs using a compact magnifier without removing the strap.....Important is the right angle and plenty of light! Could be usefull when You are at the AD........ 8)

Yeah, it's sometimes possible with straps, never bracelets though as they fit way too close. Only possible exception would be the mesh bracelets as they fit more like a strap - would need to try that to know for sure.
