I think I have been following the correct procedure to reset my Colt hands to zero (the top button to stop hand movement and then the bottom button to reset). When the hands reset, they aren't near exact zero. By way of example, the stop watch second hand "returns" to about 7; the left (hour?) circle to 3 and the right (minute?) circle to 4). Do I need to take my watch to a repairman or am I going about thi sincorrectly? |

Welcome aboard. If it's a Quartz (looks from your post), just pull the crown and adjust the hands by pushing the start and reset pusher (one by the time). |

I tried what you have suggested ("pull the crown and adjust the hands by pushing the start and reset pusher (one by the time)") by pulling the crown out all the way and using the bottom reset button to make adjustments. The only adjustment that I was ale to perform was to advance the right circle back to zero but I was unable to do the adjustment to zero to the other 2 hands (left circle & stop watch). When I then followed the reset process, the right circle went back to zero but the other 2 hands showed no improvement they didn't reset anywhere near zero. Did I not follow your instructions correctly? |

Left subdial is an hour totalizer and it should be reset by pushing one of the pushers. Not sure how to reset the chrono minute and split hands. I'm sure someone will chime in soon. |

First off, start and stop the chrono, and then reset it to make sure the hands are in their proper locations before adjusting anything. When you pull the crown all the way out, the top and bottom chrono pushers should each control one hand. Push each pusher to adjust them to where you need them to be. Then push the crown back in and then pull it out to position 1. Each chrono pusher should now control a different hand. Reset each to where you need it to be. BTW, this is all from memory so it might not be completely accurate. |
