Just got back from Grand Cayman and Cozumel...wow the Breitling displays at AD's were amazing. They were as big or bigger than Rolex in most stores. I almost pulled the trigger on the 4-year calendar Navitimer but will wait (I want the in-house movement and don't think it had it). Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of marketing. Go Breitling~

Thanks. Yes, I am going to wait until Breitling releases additional models with in-house movements before buying another. Hopefully they will do the 4-yr model in the future.

It would be nice to see, but based on their current price structure I bet a 4 year calendar with an in-house movement will list in the neighborhood of $12-13K.

If it does happen it will be 3-4 years out - my opinion/guess.

What I find disturbing is that you dared to go inear a high-end watch store in Mexico, where they chop off your arm to steal a G-shock. Glad you made it back safe.

Tell me about it...
I wore my Superocean Steelfish in Mexico and did not feel safe (dumb idea on my part). I would have never veered off the "main drag" for fear of getting robbed/ killed. There were Policia in tact gear/ helmets, and machine guns posted at most street corners on the main street where all the stores are at. Scary place. When we were walking back towards the ship we walked through a lesser desirable area (even though it was on the main shopping/ tourist area) and several "locals" were eye-balling my watch. I thought they were going to follow us but luckily didn't. You can tell the cruise lines funded and had the store-front/ shopping area/ main street area rebuilt...if you look even 1 block back, it looks like total hell there. I will never return to Cozumel. Not worth it.

On a happier note, the Grand Caymen Island was awesome. Very polite, non-pushy AD's and extremely high-end watches. I wore my TT DateJust 18k/ SS there and felt very comfortable.

I was also on a cruise earlier this year and wore my G Shock to every port. It just seemed like a good idea. I may not have been taken extremely seriously at the higher end jewelry shops (due to my youthful looks and casio watch) but I was just looking anyway, not seriously buying.

I took a cruise and was in Cozumel in 2010. I wore my Sub everywhere including a taxi ride to La Playa (sp ?) to go to the beach. I never felt uncomfortable. Has it change that much?

I took a cruise in 2010 and one port of call was Cozumel - not my first time. I wore my Sub everwhere. Including a taxi ride to La Playa to go to the beach as we always do. No problem. Has it changed?

I bought my first 'ling in The Bahamas. Got a huge HUGE 10% discount, but then this was before the "Internet" and all the knowledge that I have gained through this forum.
