Hi all

Well I called BUK today and I have to wait another MONTH for my B1 to come back. Getting close to 3 months away.

There are several reasons it's back with BUK, none of them due to mechanical breakdown 'tho, but reasons I can't say here.

BUT the reasons I miss it make it harder to be without.

The B1 was my 1st ever expensive watch. Bought by me for my 40th Birthday.
I wore this watch with the promise not to baby it, but to enjoy it....all my others seem more breakable 'cept the M1.
It was my go too watch when I'm travelling, the time zones and alarms are PERFECT for my job.
It's pretty much unbreakable.....unless you are Goldie, who killed his....RIP.
Looks great on various straps, dressy or sporty.
I feel great when I wear it.

So despite having the considerable luxury of others to wear.....

I miss my B1.

I know I'm being a girl....

Davey

Dave,

You are an old tart (and I totally understand).

What I do not understand (knowing the ins of this story) is why it is taking so long.

I don't know the "in's" but it all sounds very intruiging.

Hope this THIRD month flies by for you Davey, and you get your B1 back
with everything as it should be.

(I thought 10 weeks was bad enough)

Nick.

Hey Davey,
I was the same as you, wearing it all the time, smashed it, missed it a LOT. 5 weeks later, insurance company sorted me out and decided not to fix it. Beyond Economical Repair. Gave me money equivalent.!! Just got a new Airwolf today..!! BIG SMILE

I tried to get it back along with them replacing it, and they just wouldn't..!! I realise the 11 years i had with it were schedule to be maybe anothe 20 if I could, but alas it broke. I could have always got a decent 2nd hand B1, but, eventually decided the extra money that the insurace company gave me was worth spending the lot on a watch.. ie... they gave me much more than a 2nd hand B1 is worth..

I suspect some dealer will be sold to... I have all the box and certificate and stuff if that happens to a dealer... wonder if the box and stuff is worth flogging on flea bay or similar..

Hi Goldie.

I would be interested if you're thinking of selling the box from your sadly departed B1

(Depending on which one it is and condition)

Congrats on the Airwolf also, a fine watch.

Nick

Davey, you are not a girl by missing your B-1. Hell, I hate taking off my BEB and putting it in the safe for the week or until I have a reason to wear it. I have gone so far as to come home from work, take off the Steelfish and take the BEB out and wear it around the house till I need to sleep. Some nights I have worn it to bed and put it back in the safe in the morning before leaving for work. You have grown to see it as more of a companion in your day to day life as opposed to just some expensive thing you own. Sorry for the long wait but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end.
Best health, Frank.

Stunning pictures (as always) Dave, strange that you missed the B1 and not the Airwolf? :?
I've noticed a lot of people recently have got very attached to their B1's, just another example of where Breitling should have kept producing it as it was, the same thing applies to the Ti Chrono Avenger IMHO.
