I'm new here so bare with me. While in the process of servicing my old Chronospace II / purchased in 1995, I came accross the Montbrillant 01 Limited. Any comments or perspectives on that particular watch. It's not cheap but I've always been very fond of nice watches and willing to purchase if it really is worth 7k plus. Is buying such a brand new watch similar to buying a car ie. once you drive it off the lot it drops in value? |

It has the in house movement which is why there is a cost premium, and that's discussed on a number of threads here - just use the search function. Any new watch will have huge depreciation when it's no longer new - you can likely get a 20 - 25% discount from an AD and it will only be worth around 55 - 60% of list if you tried to sell it the same day. This one won't be better or worse than any other. The Montbrillant has historically been less popular because of its size, the 01 is a little larger, but it's still not a big watch (40mm). |
