Well, my fellows, I need your help fast. I have heard there is a Breitling for Bentley Mark IV with moon phase. Can you tell me about it? When was it made? How accurate was it, including the moon phase and should I feel good about buying one, used, if from a trusted dealer?

Breitling for Bentley Mark VI Complications 19 and Complications 29 - first is semi perpetual, second is perpetual (and a lot more money). Nice watches, but not good sellers because of the cost. The moonphase is a standard 29 1/2 day cycle so has an error of approximately 0.04 days per cycle. The Complications 19 is the same movement as the Olympus models.

If you can get it at a good price from an AD then go for it. The Mark VI complication 19 is my favorite Breitling, it's a little overpriced but it's a gorgeous gorgeous watch. I am a big Olympus fan and the Mark VI is perfect.

Well, brothers and sisters, I've an opportunity to get a Bentley Mark VI moon phase at a price I can (barely) afford. Not an AD, though, but it might be worth the try. Aren't any of the non-AD's worth the money? :lingsrock: stephenhenry

I really like the watch, but the AD price is beyond my means.

From Roff's article (link below)

There are two types of perpetual – the semi perpetual which can handle everything except leap years, and the full perpetual which can also handle the 29th of February.

Thanks, Roff. I'll need to be in a concentrating state of mind to read your article, but I did read it.

What do you and the rest of the regulars think about Ashford Watch sellers? Honest.

Some ADs might be willing to sell for essentially their cost - I got a regular Mark VI at cost. That is about what the gray market dealers are doing.

No personal knowledge with Ashford.

Locking this thread as the OP seems intent on creating as many as possible on this topic and the other one that I haven't deleted has more details.
