Today, I noticed a watch on the table under the umbrella at the pool, And being the Inquisitive watch guy that I am, I struck up a brief conversation. As I had thought, it was a Colt, fairly new, and he didn't want to get it wet. He said it was too nice a watch to get wet. I just about spit my tea. Took me all of 30 secs to comment on the water resistance of it. And showed him my Steelfish, and jumped in the pool. Shrug, why get a watch that is designed to handle water, and not use it? Now granted, I am not going to take my new BlackBird in the pool, but a Steelfish or a Colt? |

(I kill me) No problem swimming with the BB either - so long as it is all snugged down you are good to go at 300m W/R. |

Interesting... I think I'd be more worried about leaving the Colt unattended on the table than wearing it the water. You have to realize though, your watch is part 'fish' ![]() |

I won't wear my BB in the water, it's polished and just too pretty but I wouldn't be afraid to. My PO on the other hand just saw a lot of pool time last week and even some time in the ocean while on vacation and I never gave it a second thought. |

the only watch i would jump in the pool with is my gshock. i know some of these watches are rated to be quite water resistant but to me there is no need to swim with them. |

intersting point here. for me, i have to be able to get a watch wet, if not, i will not keep it. i had a 6.75, loved it, thought it was the most beautifull watch in the world, but since i could not convince myself to swim with it, i decided to sell it. the watches i own are like a part of me, they have to follow me anywhere i go. |
