Other than being the runt of the Navitimer family, is there any particular reason this watch doesn't show up more here (and on other, inferior Breitling fora)? I've visited a handful of ADs with the hope of trying one on, but the selection is paltry (if available). It's difficult to conduct the requisite amount of due diligence on this model.

Does anyone have any pics of the 38mm Montbrillant (especially wrist shots) that they care to share?

It's not a popular watch, largely because of size, so that's reflected in the ownership here.

Its a gorgeous watch (black dial) but like Roff said, its small. For me (7 5/8" wrist) it looks tiny. Makes a regular DateJust look big, IMO. Because of its size its also a little harder to quickly read with the dial layout. I am trying to find a 1-2+ year old one for my wife! She has really thin wrists but this model looks fantastic on her arm.

I used to have one of those. I have very small wrists for a man. It's a beautiful watch, but with those thin gold hands I couldn't see what time it is without getting my reading glasses, so I sold it. It took a while to find one when I was buying, be patient!

Sucks getting old.

As I am basically a vintage guy, 38mm actually is between normal to "large", 38mm watches from the 50s & early 60s are considered "jumbo" in the vintage world.

I love the A41030, classic looks with everyday resilience, think it is a very nice watch to wear to formal occasions, goes well with a suit and a classic shirt. Was tempted by the Legende and have that lying around in a safe, too large for me, so tastes differ.

Here is my 2006 Montbrillant, on black croc. Pre-Sapphire, so sadly with a scratch on the crystal, but still nice, IMHO.

Very nice!

I cant wait for the Montbrillant B01 to come out later this year. In-house movement and perfect size (for me at least) 40mm. Hope it'll be reasonably priced.

At 5 years old it will be nearing service time and you can have the crystal replaced with Sapphire at the same time if you wish.
