Hello chaps. First post but been viewing for a while.

Had a few Breitlings, Steelfish, Superocean, Skyland, Seawolf, Emergency and now a Blackbird

All of them have been pre loved [mainly by TZ-UK members] and most of them had been under 2 years old. I flipped them all as was always 'upgrading' and apart from my Emergency which is about 5 years old now, never had them long enough to service

The Blackbird I have recently aquired has an AD original date of May 2009, and [this is where youse can help me out] I'm sure some of my previous Breits had the option of 1 service free within the 2 years original warranty.

Now do you reckon I would qualify for this as my watch is [just] under the 2 year mark?

There's no policy of one free service within warranty.

The Emergency and Emergency Mission are entitled to a first free service (not limited to 2 years), but no other models are. If the watch has issues then it can be addressed under warranty, but if the watch is performing fine Breitling has no obligation to give you a free warranty service - they will likely charge you.

My AD told me Breitling returned an Emergency that had been sent in after 7 years for its first service. Unfortunately for him it wasn't free and they had to charge him for the service. Don't leave it too long!!

Thanks for the replies.

How much do you reckon a first service on a Blackbird will be?

Current prices are listed on the Breitling website depending on which country you are in. Select Maintenance Centres and then your country and there is a link to the PDF.
