Today I took my wife shopping for a new watch, store was a Breitling AD and I soon found myself trying on a grey dialed Emergency with titanium bracelet. Ended up buying it. When I got home and checked web noticed that professional bracelet was changed to pro2 in 2007, mine has the pre-2007 pro bracelet. So I am now wondering how long the watch was at the AD and how much sooner it will require service? Would I rather have the pro2 bracelet? I have 10-days to return unworn, I owned a Breitling many years ago, but am no expert. What do you guys think, I think the sub 4k price was pretty good deal so maybe I should have a beer relax and enjoy. It is a very cool watch. Thanks. |

Most consider the Pro2 to be more comfortable and constructed better. If you remove the bottom (6 oclock) portion of the bracelet, the watch case will have a 4 digit date stamp on it. e.g. 1107. First two digits are the week,, second two are the year. 1107 = eleventh week of 2007. |

Hi RJRJRJ, Does that apply to the Emergency only, or are there other models where this is true also? I had the bracelet off my Datora for polishing and didn't see a date but would love to know when it was produced. Regards Stuart |

Thanks Roffensian! I mistook those numbers for scratches.  They are around 1mm high or less on my watch, but under a magnifying glass, they could be read. Do you know the significance of the "B" numbers? Mine includes the number "B4".

Most seem to have B3, B4 or B5 and the same number is included in the full length model number (after the 'usual' six character model number), but I have no idea on the significance. |

Could be - the full model number has 3 more digits after the B# and I always assumed that was the same reference as used in the Chronolog which would include dial colour, but I never checked that out. I've also never seen any reference where the letter wasn't a B (Breitling maybe??) |

Thanks for all your responses. In the end my wife loves her new watch so much she gave me one of her watches to sell/trade so my budget has gone up a bit and I am deciding what to do. |
