I've been loving my Steelfish for the past week, but as I said in my first post, I had been looking at 13050 Chronomats for some time. Well....I ended up making a deal for one that should arrive today. I am balancing it out by moving some vintages that I don't wear much, but have gone from 0 to 2 Breitlings in a week!

Well...here she is!

I've been narrowing my collection down from REALLY big (20+ watches) and mostly vintage, to a select ghroup of watches I will want to wear every day. I'm in the process of swapping an Omega Great White (it's TOO white for me) for a black Omega GMT, so wanted a lighter colored watch, preferably on leather.

I've come to the conclusion that 40mm-42mm works best for me. My wrist isn't huge, but I can pull off bigger sizes. The issue is that they generally don't fit under shirt sleeves, and I am almost always in a suit or long sleeve dress shirt.

The older chronomats are the perfect size, and this one's been around for a while. It's a 10th anniversery model, and this week I finally worked out a deal for it. And it was shipped over night!

It's really in remarkable condition - I'm having trouble finding even a swirl on the case. One of the adds said it had been serviced by Breitling in the past 2 years, and I'd believe it.

The band is a bit of a wreck, so I pulle dit right off. I am ordering a couple of BOB shark skin straps this week, but have it on this honey brown gator for now, and it's just what I was looking for!

Thanks for looking....

Classic Breitling! With all the craziness around the new line and Breitling's uncertain future direction I think you've got your bases covered with a nice classic like this. Hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

Thanks! Wore it today, and I really like it. Perfect alternative for a "dress watch" due to it's size, which is still a healthy 40mm.

My only issue is that i leave on a trip tomorrow, and feel like the steelfish or my speedy will be a little more practical, so this stays at home for the next week....grrrrrrrr!
