I'm new to Breitling timepieces but greatly appreciate their style. I recently purchased a Rolex Submariner Date a few months ago. I'm thinking of adding to my collection with the newly redesigned 2010-11 Superocean Professional in black (pictured below on the left). Any suggestions? I know they're both very similar in design/style but i like that look very much. Also, what does it retail for? I keep seeing conflicting prices. Thanks.

I don't believe you will find the SOII and Sub too similar. Very different looks, profiles, feel, one on a polished bracelet, one all brushed, one with a glistening dial/bezel(if the ceramic one), the other not so.

If you like it, go for it. After discount you will pay about 1/3 of what the Sub cost you.

Of anyone knows about buying Breitlings it's this guy.

If you like it and can afford it buy it. Personally, I'd go for something not in that style since you already have what many consider to be the original diver's watch, but it's you and you like the style.

The SOII is a gorgeous timepiece! I absolutely love it. IMO, The 42mm case is perfect. It'll be a little larger then your sub. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

:yeahthat

But the OP is clearly attracted by that style, so why not?

As Tom said, the feel will be quite different though.
