I am about to place an order for a Motors Speed with Black Velvet dial while I still can. Unfortunately, I have never seen the watch in person. I know that it is the same face as the Motros T SPeed but I believe that the bezel makes a big difference.

Does anyone have a good phot of one other than the stock photo issued by Breitling?

Also, could anyone who has the black velvet face please tell me how it compares to the royal ebony black used for the 6.75.

Thanks in advance. Any help is apprecited as I have to order by Monday.

JP

first off congrats to you for buying a really cool watch. Let me answer these questions for you since I was in the same postion you are in over a year ago.

There are a couple of major difference between the motor and motors t (both speed). the first as you mentioned is the bezel, the motors has that cross cut Knurled bezel makes the watch look very blingy. The motors t has that machine jeweled bezel sort of like a fine finish if you will. the other thing is the finishing on the cases. the motors is all high polised SS where the motors t is both brushed and polished.

ok now for the kicker. if you look at the black dial on the speed versions vs the older model black the major difference is when the watch is placed under light. The regular black is just plain black however the speed versions black has a metalic red flake you can see shimmering when placed under light. I was told this was to reflect the same kind of paint job you can find on the newer bentleys.

Hope this helps.

The Motors T is brushed - and the Motors is polished.
