Hey Guys,

First Post!!
I'll have to admit I'm a little bit of an amateur when it comes to watches, so forgive my attempt at the horological lingo

I currently own a
SS Navitimer World, Black Dial
18K TT Navitimer Montbrilliant Legende
Im exceptionally happy with both, I bought the world as my first "nice watch", and quickly became addicted to watches and soon therafter purchased my legende........BUT, seeing as the Legende was 2nd hand without books (has been varified by my local and not so friendly AD as being authentic).....as I was very excited about my new watch I didnt take the time to check all of the bracelet screws to make sure they were nice and tight, this was my flaw as I managed to lose the male end of the "connecting bracelet pin, (heres where my lingo comes into play :) ) so essentially as I understand it, on my regular Navi there is a spring pin that holds the bracelet into the case, wheras the Legende has a basic Rod/male/female/screw assembly.......Ive lost the male(short end) of the assembly, and I need another, Now I work in Optometry and even though we use a variety of screws ranging from .8mm to 1.6mm I couldnt for the life of me find something that fit .......................Soooo I guess my question is, does anyone on here know of where I can aquire one online, or via this forum, or an online store, I wont even scare you with how much my AD quoted me but I assure you I could get myself a really nice 60's Omega for the same money

All help is much appreciated and I thank you in advance
Apologies for the "lingo"
Felix

I'd suggest posting a WTB ad in the Sales section on this forum as a start. Some kindly member may even have a spare they'd be prepared to give you.

Other than that, you could perhaps try a wanted ad on eBay (if they still have the functionality), but if that fails I think you will be limited to having pay AD prices I'm afraid.

Good thing you didn't buy it for that price, you would have gotten screwed twice.

Thats pretty outrageous. Id call BUSA direct and ask them. They probably wont sell you one, but at least they can get to the bottom of it.

That's an absolute disgrace. As RJ said, contact Breitling direct because that sounds awfully like an AD profiteering wildly there.

Well it is the elephant in the room so I'll say it - $350 for a screw can be reasonable depending on who she is.

I will remove myself to the corner now.

Doesn't a whole link with the screw cost less than that?? The AD broke one of my screws once. They didn't think twice about getting me a whole new link for free. It didn't seem like it was a huge expense on their part. .. and all they were doing was a bracelet adjustment. If it was going to cost them even 1/2 of the 350, I'm sure they'd make some kind of a stink about it.

Yeah, $350 is an absolutely amazing figure for them to quote, but I can only assume its a case of "we cant be bothered ordering/organising one , so we'll quote him something phenomenal and if he's dumb enough to pay it we'll do it".....As I am in australia whom do I contact?

http://www.breitling.com/en/index.php#/ ... e/oceania/

I would start with the Australian prime site in Sydney. They show a phone number so they should be able to tell you pretty quickly.
